Earlier today, news broke that a “Michigan militia” as described by media outlets but should be called what it is, a group of terrorists, had been plotting to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, a regular victim of Donald Trump’s bullying tactics, according to the FBI.
Court documents reveal that the FBI learned of the group that was “discussing the violent overthrow of certain government and law-enforcement components” on social media in early 2020. Allegedly, a meeting was held in early June, during which the terrorists talked about “creating a society that followed the U.S. Bill of Rights and where they could be self-sufficient.” Several members also “talked about murdering ‘tyrants’ or ‘taking’ a sitting governor.”
Court documents reveal that Adam Fox, Barry Croft, Ty Garbin, Kaleb Franks, Daniel Harris, and Brandon Caserta were charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping and a domestic terrorism investigation is underway.
Thankfully, Gov. Whitmer is safe and sound. However, she is about to let this all take place without calling out the source.

As mentioned above, Whitmer has found herself on the receiving end of numerous attacks from Donald Trump as a result of her response to the pandemic in her state, with the president tweeting out what read like calls to action, declaring, “LIBERATE MICHIGAN!”
Gov. Whitmer is making sure Trump’s role in this whole thing is well-known.
During a press conference this afternoon, Whitmer responded to the kidnapping plot and wasted no time in calling out what she believes was the original source.
“When our leaders speak, their words matter,” the Governor stated after giving a running list of Trump’s worst qualities, including his “call to action” to white supremacists during the presidential debate. “They carry weight. When our leaders meet with, encourage, or fraternize with domestic terrorists, they legitimize their actions and they are complicit.”
The fact of the matter is, Whitmer knows why this happened. And just like all of us here, she’s done with it.
