It Seems Ivanka Trump May Have Thrown Her Own Family Under The Bus To Save Herself In The NY Fraud Case: “Other Individuals Were Responsible”

Well, this is certainly interesting.

In a rather interesting twist of events within the scandal-ridden Trump family, recent reporting has revealed that Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka, may have thrown pretty much her entire family under the bus in an effort to save her own porcelain skin in the ongoing New York fraud case against her father’s family company, the Trump Organization.

Bloomberg News correspondent Erik Larson broke reporting on a court filing recently submitted by the former first daughter’s legal team, in which Ivanka Trump called for a trial delay. The delay request in itself is nothing to get worked up about, as it was an expected move and one that was echoed by other Trump family members involved in the fraud case, including her father and her brothers, Eric and Don Jr.

However, it was Ivanka’s reasoning for why she deserved this trial delay that raised eyebrows for Larson and others.

The Bloomberg reporter notes that Ivanka’s attorneys argued in the new filing that this particular case is “not simple,” because Ivanka hasn’t worked for or been involved with the Trump Organization since her departure from the family company in 2017. The former first daughter’s attorneys argue that Ivanka boasts a “unique” defense against the fraud case because she does not personally stand accused of lying about and/or misrepresenting the company’s finances, in an effort to obtain more favorable tax breaks and bank loans.

“The Complaint does not contain a single allegation that Ms. Trump directly or indirectly created, prepared, reviewed, or certified any of her father’s financial statements,” the court filing from Ivanka’s attorney read this week.

But the real kicker was the fact that the filing clearly asserts “that other individuals were responsible for those tasks.”

Essentially, Ivanka Trump and her legal team just pointed the finger at her entire family, indicating in the court filing that she was not liable for the alleged fraud committed within her father’s family company, and it was instead someone else’s “responsibility” to keep track of and accurately report on the finances within the business — i.e. her brothers, her father, and other officials within the company such as longtime former Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg.

The Trump Organization, former President Donald Trump, and his 3 eldest children (Ivanka, Don Jr., and Eric Trump) stand accused by New York Attorney General Letitia James of purposely and fraudulently manipulating the value of Trump Org assets for various forms of profit.

Just recently, attorneys for the scandal-ridden former president filed a request to delay the trial that is currently set for October 2nd, hoping to push the trial to a date that is deeper into Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign — assumably because Donald and his legal team are of the belief that his possible nomination on the 2024 Republican ticket will serve as a form of protection or immunity from prosecution.

Not only does Donald Trump not boast such immunity in any form, the judge on the trial, Arthur Engoron, has previously made it crystal clear that he is fed up with the games that Trump and his legal team are trying to play in this case, and the trial will take place on October 2nd, as scheduled, “come hell or high water.”
