Only one individual is responsible for Donald Trump soliciting foreign interference in the 2020 U.S. presidential election to help his re-election bid, and obstruction of Congress by telling his administration officials to ignore subpoenas for documents and testimony. The person’s name who is guilty of abuse of power is Donald J. Trump, but taking personal responsibility for one’s actions isn’t one of this “president’s” attributes. In fact, that’s a theme with this godawful administration.
White House legislative affairs director Eric Ueland appears to be seeking revenge or at least looking forward to observing it, over Trump’s Senate impeachment trial. Bloomberg reporter Daniel Flatley tweeted that Ueland walked past a group of reporters at the Capitol and said, “I can’t wait for revenge.”

This tweet sums up my feelings of Ueland’s bizarre threat:
I will make it a point to be there next January to hand Mr Ueland a goodbye balloon from Safeway as he carries his cardboard box out of the White House.

Ueland, like Trump, has a penchant for holding grudges. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), one of Trump’s biggest bootlickers in the House, recently voted to rein in the “presidents” war powers. Gaetz said that he was told Ueland was responsible for keeping him off the impeachment defense team because of that, according to Politico.
“I don’t know why it would serve someone in the White House to manufacture a divide between the president and one of his best communicators during impeachment,” Gaetz told the news outlet.
This Ueland creature did not respond to Politico about Gaetz’s allegations, but he did note Gaetz’s support for a House resolution to halt further U.S. military action against Iran.
Gaetz responded: “He knows it’s House Democrats, not Iran, who are impeaching the president, right?”
“I thought ‘legislative affairs’ folks were supposed to help the president add friends — not extend silly fights with the president’s best friends,” Gaetz added.
So, now Ueland wants revenge against one of Trump’s biggest defenders and Democrats. We’re sure the list will get longer because sooner or later the fever is going to break and some Republicans aren’t going to be willing to go down with the impeached ship. It’s cute he’s gathering an “enemies list,” though.
