Judge Cannon Makes Major Decision In Criminal Case Against Donald Trump On The Heels Of Violent Rally Attack

We knew this was coming...

Less than 48 hours after Donald Trump was the subject of a violent assassination attempt at his Pennsylvania rally, Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon has delivered a formal dismissal of the infamous stolen documents case against the scandal-ridden former president based on a determination that Jack Smith was improperly appointed as special counsel to the DOJ.

Politico’s Kyle Cheney was the first to flag the sickening ruling, in which Cannon writes that Smith’s appointment “violates the Appointments Clause of the United States Constitution.”

Judge Cannon has long been the subject of criticism and scrutiny, and rightfully so, as she has appeared to use her weight and power as a federal judge to swing this case in favor of the man who got her the job at every opportunity since she was appointed to it.

There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that, now that she has managed to fully dismiss the criminal case against Trump in its entirety, and essentially allow him to get away scot-free with stealing, harboring, and hiding thousands of classified, highly sensitive, and top-secret United States government documents and materials, American voters and political experts alike will be sharpening their pitchforks.

This bid to ultimately see the infamous Trump Documents Case fully dismissed appears to have been spearheaded by an opinion handed down from none other than equally controversial and scandal-ridden Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who questioned the validity of Smith’s appointment in his opinion.

The Washington Post noted that many legal experts and observers saw the attempt to disqualify Smith and dismiss this case on the grounds of Thomas’ opinion was a “longshot,” noting that “other courts have rejected similar arguments to the one that he made in Florida about Smith’s unlawful appointment.”

Yet, here we have Cannon’s decision, nonetheless…

Special Counsel Jack Smith still maintains the ability to appeal the ruling.
