As the 2020 election gets closer and closer, the rather large pool of Democratic candidates is slowly but surely thinning out. Some, we were happy to see go. Others gave us a little tinge of disappointment. But nevertheless, it’s inevitable to lose a few favorites along the way as we all come together with the common goal of getting Donald Trump out of the White House.
And if Senator and former Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has anything to do with it, that will be happening before he ever even has a chance to run against a Democrat again.
As of this afternoon, Harris was the next Democratic 2020 hopeful to bow out of the presidential running — citing a lack of funding as her reasoning behind the decision.
“I’ve taken stock and looked at this from every angle, and over the last few days have come to one of the hardest decisions of my life. My campaign for president simply doesn’t have the financial resources we need to continue,” Kamala said in her official statement. “I’m not a billionaire. I can’t fund my own campaign. And as the campaign has gone on, it’s become harder and harder to raise the money we need to compete.”

Frankly, I’m a bit sad to see her go. And evidently, Donald Trump is too. Or, rather, he simply jumped on the opportunity to be a sarcastic, immature douchebag.
Taking to his handy, dandy Twitter account, Donald effectively showed his ass when issuing his unneeded response to Harris’ departure from the Democratic presidential race.
“Too bad. We will miss you Kamala!” Trump tweeted, no doubt with a shit-eating grin on his face, super proud of himself for thinking of that humdinger all by himself.

But don’t think for even a moment that the fierce Senator didn’t fire right back at the toddler-in-chief.
“Don’t worry, Mr. President. I’ll see you at your trial,” Harris responded to Trump.

And she’s not all talk either.
Should Trump find himself impeached in the House, Kamala will serve as a juror on Trump’s Senate trial to determine if he will be removed from office as a result of his scandal with Ukraine.
And boy, do I hope that’s public.
