I take it George is sleeping out the couch a lot.

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway seems to be feeling the heat after her husband penned an op-ed for the Washington Post following Donald Trump’s meltdown over the Lincoln Project’s — of which Mr. Conway is a member — brutal ad targeting the president’s failure to lead the country through the national crisis. Trump had a public hissy fit on Twitter after the ad was released, but in doing so, the president helped the group bring in its biggest fundraising haul ever.

Fox News host Harris Faulkner brought up the anti-Trump Republican group with Kellyanne, and the scathing op-ed her husband wrote about her boss.

“Kellyanne, the president has been in a pretty public battle this week with a group of Never Trump Republicans after they released an attack ad on his Covid-19 response,” Faulkner said bringing up that the “the co-founder of that group, your husband George Conway,” wrote an article claiming Trump “should have been removed from office.”

“Before I get a reaction on this, this is not about your husband, this is not about your marriage. This is about that group. It just so happens that George Conway wrote this op-ed today,” Faulkner continued to say. “What is the response to this? Because this group now is getting a lot of light and lifting from the president tweeting about them.”

Kellyanne didn’t seem to appreciate the question.

“It certainly is about my husband or you would have quoted other people in the group, particularly all the other ones who are political consultants and never achieved what I achieved, which is a success as a presidential campaign manager,” Kellyanne shot back.

“I can’t even say I’ve seen it [the ad],” Conway added. “But to my point, they’ve all failed. They never succeeded the way I did as campaign manager, and they never got their candidate where my candidate got. He’s president of the United States.”

Faulker asked Kellyanne why the president would lift up her husband’s group by publicly attacking the group members on Twitter, and somehow, Conway said that Trump “mostly” ignores the group.

“But the president isn’t ignoring them,” Faulkner said.

“Mostly he does, once in a while he doesn’t, but he also wanted to expose I think a number of the people in that group who act like they are so dignified and holier-than-thou than everyone when nobody ever says what their track record is,” Conway insisted.

Watch:

Well, it’s fair to assume that Kellyanne is extremely bothered by the group. We’ve seen Trump’s public meltdown over the ad, and now we’ve seen her snap at the Fox News host over her husband’s group.
