First Lady Melania Trump dialed the irony and hypocrisy up to an eleven on Thursday when she dared to lecture parents about their kids’ social media habits even though her husband spends hours on Twitter every day bullying people and spreading lies and misinformation.
The coronavirus pandemic has forced schools across the country to close, resulting in children being at home. With stay-at-home orders and social distancing policies being put in place, millions of kids have had to turn to social media more than ever to keep in touch with friends and family and keep themselves entertained.
Of course, Melania apparently has an opinion about social media usage by children, which she posted on Twitter.
While most children are at home during this challenging time, they tend to be on social media throughout the day. Parents, please be sure to check on them regularly to be sure they’re practicing online safety.

The problem is that her own husband spends an inordinate amount of time on social media whining and bullying. In fact, he often binge-watches Fox News and rage tweets for hours every day during what he calls his “executive time,” even causing former Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) to remark that Trump needs adult daycare to regulate his Twitter usage.

Melania’s hypocrisy was not lost on Twitter users, who told her to focus on her husband’s social media habits first before she tells others to watch their own.
I’d check on @realDonaldTrump then, Mel. He’s making everyone less safe by being online.

Clearly, Melania made a mistake here. So, she should take her own advice and stop posting on Twitter unless she’s willing to do something about her husband. That would be best.
