According to Mary Trump, her cousin could flip on her father because she has โmore to loseโ from the Manhattan district attorneyโs investigation into her family company, Insider reports. The Trump Organization and Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg were charged by the Manhattan D.Aโs office recently with a list of tax crimes. Prosecutors charged the Trump Organization and Trump Payroll Corporation with 10 counts, and Weisselberg was hit with 15 felony counts connected with an alleged scheme stretching back to 2005. Weisselbergโs charges include one for grand larceny.
Mary Trump told The Daily Beastโs Molly Jong-Fast in an episode of โThe New Abnormalโ podcast that it seems plausible that Ivanka Trump could flip on her father. Ivanka might be in a bit of trouble here since she served as an executive vice president at the Trump Organization from 2005 to 2017.
โIf there are two sets of books for Allen, there are two sets of books for other people. And I think weโre also going to find in these millions of pages of documents; there will be more evidence,โ Mary Trump said.
โSo either theyโre not solely going to be relying on Allen Weisselberg to flip because thereโs documentary evidence of Donaldโs direct wrongdoing, or there will be other people who will be more willing to flip than Allen, and I think among those might well indeed be my cousins,โ she added.

Mary Trump then said that she believes Ivanka will be โmuch less likely to stay loyalโ than Allen Weisselberg.
โAs counterintuitive as this might sound, I think Ivanka has, one, more to lose and, two, more to hang onto. Her husbandโs family is legitimately very wealthy,โ Mary Trump said.
โThe kind of fraud thatโs being alleged here is exactly the kind of thing my aunts and uncles did to me,โ Mary Trump said. โPatterns strongly imply intent, right?โ
Patrick Cotter, a former federal prosecutor, told Insider previously: โIf youโre Trump and all your records are now in the hands of prosecutors, and theyโve come back this quickly with an indictment against your company and your CFO, thatโs going to make you pause and realize that if youโve done anything illegal, thereโs a very good chance these prosecutors will find it.โ
