Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has been insulting former President Barack Obama this week in defense of President Donald Trump, but it turns out he also insulted the first black president in his own memoir.
In response to Obama criticizing Trump’s poor handling of the coronavirus pandemic, which Trump has tried to blame on Obama, McConnell called Obama “classless” and said he should have “kept his mouth shut.”
Americans were understandably outraged by this attack and they let their voices be heard on social media.
Well, if they hated McConnell for that insult, they are really going to hate the smug way he insulted Obama in his memoir.
A photograph in the book of McConnell and Obama talking is captioned by the Kentucky Republican.

“As usual, the president is doing most of the talking,” McConnell wrote, suggesting that Obama talks too much. McConnell’s disdain for intellectuals is showing, as is his racism. It should also be pointed out that it appears McConnell is the one who is talking in the photo.

Twitter users were not amused.
Mitch’s grotesque disrespect for the nation’s first black president has been a constant over the last few years. I don’t think he’s ever been asked about it.

I’m almost impressed he had the self-restraint not to describe him as “The Uppity Boy President Who Don’t Know His Place.”

I cannot wrap my head around anyone buying Mitch McConnell’s memoir.

Talking While Black is very offensive

I wonder what it is about Obama that upsets McConnell so much… Hmmmm I wonder.

As usual, Mitch is doing much of the lying.
— ekmpls (@ekmpls) May 13, 2020
Mitch could have at least picked a picture of the president being the one talking for that caption

What a small man.

Clearly, it’s McConnell who should keep his mouth shut. He has hated Obama since the day he took office in January 2009, even plotting to make Obama a one-term president from the beginning. It turns out that McConnell should not have even been a one-term senator. The people of Kentucky have a chance to fix their decades long mistake in November. And hopefully, Mitch will be tossed into the dustbin of history and the Senate can start working again.
