As all of us on this side of the fence continue to celebrate Impeachment Day Eve — as the House of Representatives wraps up their debates after weeks of investigations and public hearings and deliberate in preparation for the final, official vote tomorrow — Donald Trump is shaking in his little high heeled shoes.

Despite the fact that he’s continually taken to his Twitter account as well as various public speaking events to declare that he’s not a bit worried about finding himself impeached in the House, Donald’s tune made a drastic turn for the desperate when he penned a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who kicked off this formal impeachment inquiry to begin with, to essentially beg her to drop the proceedings against him to prevent his name and reputation from forever being marred by the the “impeached” label.

Trump wrote in his missive that the Democratic party has “cheapened the importance of the very ugly word” and that “more due process was afforded to those accused in the Salem Witch Trials.”

He eventually addressed House Speaker Pelosi directly in the letter, loudly declaring, “It is a terrible thing you are doing, but you will have to live with it, not I,” making sure to add, “You are offending Americans of faith by continually saying ‘I pray for the president’ when you know this statement is not true, unless it is meant in a negative sense.”

Trump was damn sure to launch an attack against the House Speaker’s religious affiliations as well as her statement that she regularly prays for him, insinuating that she insults all religious Americans.

It didn’t take long at all for Madam Speaker’s daughter to issue a rather hilarious and brutally blistering response to Trump’s whiny, desperate letter, essentially throwing his attack back in his face.

“Whew this angry, nasty, lying screed by President Trump to Speaker Pelosi is really concerning,” Christine chortled on Twitter. “We’d better pray harder for his well-being.”

It’s pretty damn clear that badassery runs deep in the Pelosi family.
