House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif) penned a letter that raises questions about Vice President Pence after he has refused to declassify testimony that is “directly relevant” to the impeachment debate. Jennifer Williams, a national security aide to Pence, was one of the individuals who listened in on Donald Trump’s infamous phone call with Ukraine’s leader. After Williams submitted additional classified evidence to House impeachment investigators about the July 25 phone call, Schiff revealed that the vice president classified it. Schiff has addressed this before, but he’s not going to let it slide.

Schiff wrote in a letter to Pence, according to the Washington Post, that classified witness testimony gathered during the impeachment inquiry “raises profound questions about your knowledge of the President’s scheme to solicit Ukraine’s interference in the 2020 U.S. presidential election.”

Schiff explained that Pence’s office denied that the Vice President discussed with Zelensky specific topics that Trump raised two months earlier in a separate call with the Ukrainian leader.

“Without prompting, the letter volunteers that ‘the Vice President never raised the Bidens, Burisma, or Crowdstrike in his conversations with President Zelensky,” Schiff wrote. “The Committee neither asserted that, nor asked whether, you specifically used those words.”

Schiff went on to describe the letter from Pence’s office as “deeply troubling,” and added that if Williams’ testimony is accurate, it suggests the Vice President had knowledge about the efforts to pressure Ukraine to investigate Trump’s political opponents, namely his rival, Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

“If the Supplemental Submission [from Williams] accurately describes your September 18 conversation with President Zelensky . . . it would mean that the representation of your communications with President Zelensky, as described in your office’s December 11 letter, may be purposefully misleading,” the letter states

Schiff urged Pence on Tuesday to reconsider declassifying Williams’s written testimony.

“Your unwillingness to declassify the Supplemental Submission raises the serious question of whether your continuing efforts to obstruct the House’s impeachment inquiry are intended not just to protect President Trump, but yourself as well,” Schiff wrote.

Previously, Schiff wrote Pence to say that declassifying Williams’ testimony cannot be justified. .

“The Office of the Vice President’s decision to classify ‘certain portions’ of the Sept. 18 call … cannot be justified on national security or any other legitimate grounds we can discern,” Schiff wrote to Pence at the time, requesting a response by Dec. 11. And now it’s the 17th and the only thing Pence appears to have offered is a suspicious denial of events, without releasing Williams’ written testimony.

This is the dumbest crime family ever with each member making it a habit to appear more guilty. This entire Ukraine scandal is what kicked off the impeachment inquiry. Mikey had better get his shit together, or the House can draw up charges on him, too.
