It’s now well known that President Donald Trump was booed Monday night when he showed up at New York’s Madison Square Garden for Game 3 of the NBA Finals, between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs. Trump watched the Knicks lose to the Spurs, making the series 2-1 in New York’s favor, as the Eastern Conference champions lost for the first time in more than a month.

And Trump wasn’t only booed in the arena when he was shown on the scoreboard during the National Anthem. According to one video, he was also greeted with a negative reception outside the arena.

Those boos appeared to break out when Trump was shown during the National Anthem at an official watch party in Bryant Park, less than a mile from the arena. The Bryant Park watch party was instead of the ones that have taken place outside the arena, although there’s been some disagreement over whether it was moved entirely because of the president’s presence at the game.

Social media users had some thoughts on the outdoor boos, coming in a city that is both Trump’s longtime hometown, but a place that has never voted for him in any of his presidential runs.
