This could be detrimental to Trump.

Things have been steadily falling apart for former President Donald Trump since he departed the White House, and most of his problems are hailing from Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s investigation into his taxes.

In fact, Vance was actually able to get his hands on a staggering eight years worth of Donald’s coveted tax returns and financial documents — a move that no doubt sent chills down Trump’s spine. But in addition to all that Vance himself has managed to accomplish, it seems that the investigation as a whole is encouraging some of his insiders to turn or at least consider turning, on him in an effort to keep themselves out of the former president’s hot water.

Multiple reports have already indicated that Donald’s former personal attorney and “fixer” Michael Cohen has made numerous visits to the investigators’ office as part of his cooperation with their investigation, and now it seems that another Trump insider is going to follow suit.

According to a report from Business Insider, former daughter-in-law of ex-President Donald Trump’s longtime CFO is willingly cooperating with the investigators who are knee-deep in scrutiny over Trump’s finances.

Business Insider’s Jacob Shamsian reports. “An attorney representing the former daughter-in-law of the Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg says she’s cooperating with prosecutors conducting an inquiry into Donald Trump’s finances and ‘refuses to be silenced.’ ‘Jennifer Weisselberg is committed to speaking the truth, no matter how difficult that may be,’ her attorney, Duncan Levin, told Insider in a statement. ‘She will continue to cooperate fully with the various law enforcement agencies that are investigating her ex-husband’s family and the very powerful interests they represent.'”

Weisselberg serves as one of Donald Trump’s longest-standing business partners. Multiple experts have theorized that because he has the most intimate knowledge of all the Trump Organization’s finances, he will also serve as the single biggest threat to the former president should he flip in this massive investigation.

Thus far, it doesn’t appear as though Weisselberg has divulged any information against his business partner in connection to the investigation. However, Michael Cohen has already suggested that he will likely turn on his business partner in an effort to save himself and his family.
