It’s no big secret that Donald Trump is desperate for votes, come this November. He’s exhausted his options when it comes to foreign interference, as Russia has already been busted and Ukraine is certainly off the table at this point considering he’s already been impeached over that attempted extortion.
I’d venture to say that he’s undoubtedly still confident in his base of racist, sexist, xenophobic, bigoted white voters — whether it be the backwoods white dudes clinging to God, guns, Donald Trump, and the last four teeth they have to their name or the bigwig power CEOs with far more money than morals who only want to see their fat wallets get fatter — Trump knows he’s got their votes.
However, he knows that the minorities of this country are an entirely different story.
Now frankly, I’ll never understand just how in the hell he or his administration could possibly be surprised by this fact. The man has literally made his presidency off of his blatant and proud mistreatment of the very people he’s desperate for votes from. And according to a new report from Politico, Donald’s chances with the black community have become so desolate that Trump allies are now attempting to seemingly bribe people of color with cold hard cash in a desperate bid to secure their MAGA votes later this year.

Ben Schreckinger, a reporter with Politico, recently published an exclusive story alleging that Trump allies have been hosting events in black communities in which they sing the praises of Donald Trump while simultaneously handing out envelopes filled with cash.
The first of these events was held in December in Cleveland, Ohio where attendees would be given tickets upon arrival and whoever had the winning ticket received a cash prize.
The cash prizes given out at these affairs are run and funded by the non-profit group, the Urban Revitalization Coalition (URC), who boasts guaranteed anonymity for their financial donors.
Darrell Scott, the CEO of URC, has been a proud and prominent champion of Donald Trump over the last three years, serving as the co-chair of the pro-Trump group, Black Voices for Trump, who campaign for the former reality TV star in predominantly black communities.
He told Politico that the monetary gifts given away last month were in amounts ranging from $300 to $500. He also explained that should an attendee receive more than $500, they were required to fill out a W-9 form for the monetary gift so as to comply with tax laws.
Scott, a pastor, refused to divulge the names of the donors funding the giveaways, telling Politico, “I’d rather not. They prefer to remain anonymous.”
According to a claim from the organizers of the events, the cash giveaways are intended to promote economic development throughout inner cities. However, one leading nonprofit tax expert explained to Politico that these envelopes full of cash could potentially threaten the URC’s tax-exempt status as the group doesn’t seem to be investigating the recipients’ level of need for the cash assistance.
Another one of these cash giveaway events had been scheduled at Virginia Union University but was ultimately canceled according to a statement from the University.
Organizers for the affair originally described the event to the school as an “economic development discussion providing over $30,000 in cash giveaways to local residents to help stimulate economic and community development while celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”
“The university was not a part of the planning for this event, was not informed of who would be participating, and was not a part of distributing information about the event,” Virginia Union University said it a statement. “We learned about it as the flyers were distributed.”
It seems even Trump’s allies are aware of the fact that their dear leader is struggling to gain any footing with people of color. However, I don’t foresee bribes with black people being any more effective than bribes with Ukraine.
