Paul Gosar (R-AZ) thought it would be a nifty idea to circulate some outrageously fake news on Twitter to defend his embattled “president” after he ordered the assassination of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani. We can understand why the Arizona Republican’s six siblings detest him enough to endorse his opponent in campaign ads. Well, now Gosar has caught the wrath of the Internet, too, after posting a photoshopped image of former President Barack Obama shaking hands with Iran’s President, Hassan Rouhani, writing, “The world is a better place without these guys in power.”

After receiving a severe spanking on Twitter, Gosar tried to explain his tweets, and somehow made the situation even worse. And notice that he called his critics “dim witted” [SIC]  after he posted the photo even though Obama has never met Rouhani. This is what you call doubling down on stupid.

Rep. Dimwit, in all of his brilliance, doesn’t seem to realize that Rouhani is indeed still in power so his excuse just doesn’t hold water. He’d need to have said “would be,” not “is.” As far as coddling, Gosar needs to have a word with his “president” for cozying up to Russia’s Vladimir Putin, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi — all of whom Trump has bent down and grabbed his ankles for.

You may sit down, Paul, before your siblings come over and give you a swirly. Implying that Obama hangs out with terrorists is so 2008 and Gosar is stealing Sarah Palin’s lines.
