Conservative author Ann Coulter might have regrets writing her book ‘In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!’ in 2016. Now, Coulter is saying that Donald Trump is “done.” Well, that was fast. “Trump is done,” Coulter wrote in an email to The New York Times. “You guys should stop obsessing over him.”
The conservative author’s remarks to the Times came in an article published by the outlet on Sunday about the mounting tensions between the twice-impeached one-term President and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) amid speculation of a potential showdown for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
As we reported earlier, sources say that the former President has said that he feels that DeSantis doesn’t have a chance to beat him should they face off in the 2024 GOP presidential primaries due to the Florida governor’s “dull personality.”
Coulter took to Twitter last week to weigh in after the former President appeared to swipe at DeSantis over the Florida Republican failing to admit whether or not he’s gotten the COVID booster shot.
EXCLUSIVE: Trump is demanding to know Ron DeSantis’s booster status, and I can now reveal it. He was a loyal booster when Trump ran in 2016, but then he learned our president was a liar and con man whose grift was permanent. I hope that clears things up.

Coulter definitely seems to be on team DeSantis. She tweeted her support of Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin for signing an executive order banning Critical Race Theory, the newest faux conservative outrage.
If he keeps this up, he might be DeSantis’s V.P. https://t.co/EDWb71KZzu

While neither DeSantis nor Trump has thrown their hats into the 2024 ring, the Florida Governor has so far sought to tamp down rumors that he’s favoring a possible White House bid. Trump appears to see DeSantis as a rival within the GOP. And Trump seems to believe that DeSantis owes him for his political success. We’re dealing with children here. Scratch that. They are worse than children. And I’m sure Trump won’t take Coulter’s remarks very well.
