Sean Hannity has left the building, folks, and he ever so conveniently headed out of town just mere days after the January 6th House Select Committee subpoenaed, obtained, and released the text messages he sent to former Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows as the infamous Capitol riot was underway.

Yesterday, Hannity announced on his Fox segment that he would not return to the air until 2022, per a report from Huffpost. Sean’s vacation announcement came quite literally on the heels of the bombshell revelation about the private text message he desperately penned to Mark Meadows on the 6th of January, as the then-president’s supporters were violently storming the nation’s Capitol building.

Hannity declared during his segment, “I’m coming back ready for a political fight.” Just days before his vacation announcement, text messages acquired by the January 6th House Committee revealed that Hannity had texted Mark Meadows while the Capitol was under siege, pleading with the then Chief of Staff to get Trump to call off the attack.

“On vacation, I try to center myself, find God, and then get my creative juices flowing, and I already know where I’m headed,” Hannity told his fellow Fox host Laura Ingraham. “I know next year is the biggest most important midterm election year in our lives and I’m going to be focused like a laser beam.”

Ingraham proceeded to compare Sean’s words to those you’d find in a framed poster on a corporate wall.

It’s certainly not out of the usual for anyone to go on vacation ahead of the holiday season, as Hannity seems to be doing here. In fact, it does seem that this is simply a normal vacation for the Fox host, as he headed out of town around the same time last year as well, leaving Jason Chaffetz to guest-host the show in his place over the holiday season.

However, none of that has prevented Twitter users from taking note of Fox personalities and their habits of getting themselves in hot water and skipping town a few days later.
