Sitting Republican Congressman Threatens To Kill Armed Demonstrators In Post Facebook Deleted For Violating Policy: “Drop Any 10 Of You Where You Stand”

He should be censured or expelled.

A sitting Republican congressman openly threatened to shoot and kill black people if they show up armed at Black Lives Matter protests in Louisiana, which resulted in Facebook nailing him for violating their policy against inciting violence.

Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) is a former police captain and supporter of Donald Trump. Frankly, he should know better than to threaten gun violence against Americans, especially those who are following the law.

But some black protesters showed up armed to a Black Lives Matter rally in Kentucky this week, causing Higgins to flip out and post a flagrant warning.

“Fair warning,” he wrote. “I wouldn’t even spill my beer. I’d drop any 10 of you where you stand. Nothing personal. We just eliminate the threat. We don’t care what color you are. We don’t care if you’re left or right. If you show up like this… you won’t walk away. That’s not a challenge, fellas, it’s a promise. We don’t want to see your worthless ass and we don’t want to make your mothers cry.”

The problem is that Higgins does not feel the same way about armed white right-wingers showing up to the same protests to intimidate and threaten protesters because it turns out that a group called the Cajun Militia showed up at Lafayette city hall in Lousiana to supposedly “protect” protesters from a rumored appearance by armed Black militia members.

Again, Facebook removed Higgins’ hateful post. And he confirmed that while also seemingly giving his supporters a heads up that he will tell them when to rise up against the government.

“I did not remove my post,” Higgins wrote. “America is being manipulated into a new era of government control. Your liberty is threatened from within… I’ll advise when it’s time, gear up, mount up, and roll out.”

How did this guy ever become a police captain, not to mention a congressman? Clearly, he should never have been allowed to have either of those jobs.

Black militia members have just as much right to carry arms as white militia members do in Louisiana, an open-carry state, especially since Higgins claims to support the Second Amendment and the right to carry. That makes Higgins a hypocrite. And it should be pointed out that white militia members have actually shot and killed people as Kyle Rittenhouse did in Wisconsin.

Higgins’ threat of violence against protesters drew wide condemnation, including from Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.), who accused him of orchestrating a “clear adolescent ploy designed to stoke fear, incite violence, garner social media clicks, and raise money for his campaign.”

This is not the kind of representative our country should want in Congress. Louisiana deserves better, and so does every black citizen.
