Social Media Thinks Trump Appears To Skip “Under God” While Reciting Pledge Of Allegiance During 9/11 Commemoration

Did you choke on those words, Donald?

One of Trump’s main talking points against Democratic nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party as a whole revolves around this nation’s Pledge of Allegiance. According to Trump’s (false, of course) claims, the Democrats are trying to rip the phrase “under God” from the United States pledge as part of their effort to turn us into a country full of crunchy, liberal, socialistic, vegans Satanists — and his resoundingly patriotic self is the only one who can save us from the fiery pits of Democratic Hell.

However, with all that patriotism he allegedly has in spades, a clip of Trump attending a 9/11 commemoration in Shanksville, PA this morning is calling his loyalty to God, this country, and the inclusion of that specific phrase during the pledge into question.

Today marks 19 years since this country was turned upside down by a terrorist attack on September 11th, 2011. And as is typical of Trump during these types of events, the man looked less than thrilled to be attending an event marking the anniversary of one of this nation’s biggest tragedies.

So less than thrilled, in fact, the people on Twitter seem to think he apparently couldn’t even bring himself to muster up the care to utter “under God” as he lazily recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Take a look for yourself:

It’s hard to say with 100 percent certainty whether or not Trump uttered those two words that are allegedly so important to him, as his mouth was sort of weirdly lax and open during that portion. But nevertheless, social media wasn’t impressed with his laziness:

I think Donnie would’ve been better off following Melania’s lead and just keeping his mouth shut entirely. Because whatever that was, it was painful.
