We should've known he wouldn't be cooperative.

Former Trump adviser and staunchly devout MAGA ally Steve Bannon made his defiance crystal clear with regard to the serious fraud charges and related “sham” trial currently steamrolling against him in the state of New York, openly declaring that he will not be doing any jail time in connection to his crimes, according to new reporting from the New York Daily News.

Molly Crane-Newman, with the New York Daily News, reported, “Trump adviser Steve Bannon isn’t worried about going to the big house because New York’s case against him is ‘a sham.’ The right-wing strategist shared his belief when he appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court Tuesday for his alleged role in the We Build the Wall crowdfunding scam.”

Bannon himself said very matter-of-factly, “I ain’t going to prison.”

The highly-controversial and scandal-ridden former Trump advisor and loyal follower and supporter of the ex-president remains under trial in New York in connection to a scam concocted by himself and other Trump-devout right-wing activists in direct relation to Donald Trump’s vehement and repeated promises to “build a wall” between the US and Mexican border that never came to fruition. Bannon and his jockeys launched a fundraising campaign, in which they took in countless donations from MAGA supporters under the guise that they would help privately build the infamous Trump Wall. In the end, most of that money was pocketed by Bannon and his scam coconspirators, and the 100 miles of secured fencing along the southern US border promised to supporters in the “We Build The Wall” fundraising campaign is still nowhere to be seen, as the group now claims to be thoroughly skint, without enough funding to even pay their own attorneys in the legal battle over the money and scam.

Bannon was infamously indicted on fraud charges in the past, only to be pardoned by his ally Donald Trump during his time in office. But, Trump’s pardon only carries so much weight and only protected the Right-wing “activist” from federal charges, giving states like New York free reign to come after him for his crimes. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg did just that, due to the fact that a portion of the defrauded “We Build The Wall” donors live in New York. Bannon has, of course, pleaded not guilty to the charges of fraud lodged against him in NY.

The fraud charges are truly only the tip of the iceberg with regard to Steve Bannon’s legal peril, as the devout MAGA ally was recently charged with and found guilty of Contempt of Congress for his refusal to comply with subpoenas issued against him by the January 6th House Select Committee, compelling his sworn testimony and other evidence in their investigation. This charge earned Bannon a four-month prison sentence. Bannon is also deeply embroiled in an ongoing lawsuit lodged against him by his own former attorneys who are attempting to collect an alleged half a million in unpaid legal fees.

Bannon is also facing down issues pertaining to legal representation in the New York fraud case, as his current attorney David Schoen has called on a judge to allow him to withdraw from the case, citing “irreconcilable” disagreements with Bannon.
