President Donald Trump’s administration has worked to suspend constitutional rights during the pandemic while Senate Republicans hand $500 billion of taxpayer bailout money to corporations, yet a Texas man accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Democrats of being “tyrannical” and called for shooting them on sight.
The FBI arrested Gavin Wesley Blake Perry, 27, after he urged people on Facebook to murder Democrats.
According to a statement by federal prosecutors, “a concerned citizen notified the Wichita Falls Police Department that Mr. Perry allegedly posted threats on a Facebook account named “Gavinwbperry.”
“If youre a dem or apart of the establishment in the democrats side I view you as a criminal and a terrorist and I advise everyone to Go SOS [shoot on sight] and use live rounds,” Perry wrote as Democrats debated the stimulus bill in Congress. “This is not gonna change until we attact NSA the DOJ the FBI and Any other agencies who want to get involved. Shoot to kill. This is a revolution.”

Furthermore, he allegedly claimed Pelosi “is apart of a satanic cult and so are the people who work closly with her. Dems of the establishment will be removed at any cost necessary and yes that means by death.”
Perry has been charged with transmitting a threatening communication in interstate commerce and faces up to five years behind bars.
For now, it appears Attorney General Bill Barr and the Department of Justice is still taking threats against Democrats seriously.
“The Department of Justice takes the security of our public servants seriously,” U.S. Attorney Eric Nealy Cox said in a statement. “Americans are entitled to voice their opinions – but we will not allow them to threaten our officials’ physical safety. This defendant’s threats against the Speaker and law enforcement agents are wholly inexcusable, and we look forward to bringing him to justice.”
Of course, Trump’s rhetoric against Democrats and Pelosi likely served to incite such violent threats against them. While Perry is no longer a threat, who knows how many people read his call for shooting Democrats and are planning to carry out acts of violence in his stead. And if such a shooting comes to pass, Trump and Republicans would have blood on their hands.
