Tiffany Trump is expecting her first baby, and her family threw her a lovely baby shower to celebrate. The event took place on Sunday, April 6, in Miami and had a cute Peter Rabbit theme. Her big sister, Ivanka Trump, hosted the event, and many Trump family members showed up to support her.

But one big name was missing—Melania Trump.
Melania has been Tiffany’s stepmother since Tiffany was around five years old. You would think she would be there for such a special moment. But according to People magazine, a source close to the family said there wasn’t “any reason” for Melania to go.
That explanation raised eyebrows.
The same source said Melania had her own schedule and was spending the weekend with her son, Barron, who is now 19 years old. While being busy is understandable, this wasn’t just another day. It was a big celebration for a close family member.
Many people thought it was odd that Melania skipped the shower. The event had many women from the Trump family in attendance, including Tiffany’s mother, Marla Maples. Don Jr.’s girlfriend, Bettina Anderson, also came, and his ex, Kimberly Guilfoyle, even left a sweet message on Instagram.
But from Melania? Nothing. No “Congrats,” no post, not even a polite message saying she couldn’t attend.
Donald Trump was also nearby. He spent the weekend golfing at Mar-a-Lago and hosting a fundraiser. He was just a few miles away from the baby shower but didn’t show up either. But why would both of them skip it?
Democratic Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett had something to say. She pointed out that Trump’s golf trips have already cost taxpayers $30 million during the first three months of his second term. “He has decided that he wanted to play games while the rest of us are really trying to make sure that we can serve the American people,” she said.
Back at the baby shower, things seemed joyful. Tiffany’s mom, Marla, posted pictures and shared kind words online. “A beautiful day celebrating my daughter Tiffany’s 1st baby shower surrounded by love, family, and dear friends. Thank you, Ivanka, for hosting such a stunning and heartfelt gathering,” she wrote.

That message felt very warm—especially compared to Melania’s silence.
Some people say maybe Melania stayed away to avoid attention. Others believe she didn’t want to pretend to be close to someone she isn’t. Either way, her absence said a lot without saying anything at all.
Trump family events often come with drama. But skipping your stepdaughter’s baby shower, when nearly everyone else is there, just doesn’t look good.
Nonetheless, Tiffany looked happy and glowing. She and her husband, Michael Boulos, announced that they are having a baby boy. So even though her stepmother and father didn’t show up, Tiffany was surrounded by love and support.
