Let me be the first to say that just because someone has a “D” in their title (as in a Democrat), it does not mean that we will blindly throw our support behind them, simply because their voter registration says they’re on our side. We are not a cult and those who are in positions of power on our side of the political fence are not exempt from our disapproval, or even fighting against them if it’s necessary.
Only the MAGAs play like that.
This particular incident is a perfect example of what I mean here.
Recently, a TikTok video started making its way around various social media platforms, appearing to show Democratic West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin attempting to drive his Maserati through a crowd of protesters who were demonstrating against climate change.
The TikTok account, Hunger Strike 4 Climate Justice, shared the clip to the popular social media platform on Thursday. In the clip, the Democratic Congressman can be seen attempting to leave a parking garage in what we’re assuming is his luxury sports car, but his exit is being blocked by activists who are protesting his stance on climate change.

The Democratic senator has been the subject of the Left’s ire for some time now, thanks to his “Centrist” views on climate change as well as his unwavering support for the fossil fuel industry. Manchin has also been on the receiving end of quite a bit of backlash due to his refusal to support the Build Back Better bill that features numerous provisions meant to take care of and heal the environment. To be frank, he’s really no more than a red elephant in a blue donkey’s clothes.
As is customary when something like this goes “viral,” the clip quickly migrated from TikTok to Twitter, where Americans were quick to express their disgust with Mr. Manchin:
