Trump May Be In Trouble Sooner Than He Realizes As Manhattan DA’s Star Witness Put On The Pressure, Says If Prosecutors Don’t Indict Trump With The Grand Jury They’ve Got — He’s Out

This could be the end of the road for Trump.

The situation regarding the Manhattan District Attorney’s office’s investigation into ex-President Trump and his family company’s alleged shady business dealings has been wishy-washy, to say the very least. When the new DA Alvin Bragg came in, it seemed as though the entire investigation came to a screeching halt — so much so that even the senior prosecutors on the case ended up resigning, citing Bragg’s inaction as their reasoning for leaving.

However, Bragg himself recently released a bombshell announcement, stating that his office’s investigation into Donald Trump and the Trump Organization was still going strong. The announcement was big enough to send Trump himself flying into a tizzy.

Suffice it to say, it’s kind of hard to tell what’s really going on with regard to this particular investigation into the corrupt former guy.

But whatever it is that the Manhattan DA’s office is going to do, it looks like they better do it quickly, as the Daily Beast reports that the grand jury that they’ve currently got is about to expire — and their key, star witness on the case is putting the pressure on hard, as he now says if they don’t indict Donald Trump with the grand jury they’ve got, he’s out.

None other than former personal attorney and self-described “fixer” for Donald Trump, Michael Cohen, has served as the key witness in the probe that investigators have used to build their case against the ex-president and his family company. However, the grand jury that the DA’s office currently has at their disposal is set to expire in a mere 9 days, and Cohen says he’s not doing this all over again.

As it stands, prosecutors with the Manhattan DA’s office only have until April 30th to issue charges against Trump with their current grand jury, and Cohen, who was a close Trump insider for many years, says he’s wasted enough time on this investigation that doesn’t really seem to be going anywhere. Once the expiration date hits, the DA’s office will be forced to either ask the current grand jury to extend their time and continue hearing evidence, which they’ve been doing for 6 months now as it is, or they will have to toss this panel and convene a new one, starting all over again with presenting their evidence in the case.

Cohen says he’s done playing ball with the DA’s office if a new grand jury has to be convened.

The former Trump personal attorney was full of exasperation when he responded to questioning regarding whether he would be willing to sit down with investigators again or deliver his testimony once more in the investigation.

“No. I spent countless hours, over 15 sessions—including three while incarcerated. I provided thousands of documents, which coupled with my testimony, would have been a valid basis for an indictment and charge,” Cohen said.

“The fact that they have not done so despite all of this… I’m not interested in any further investment of my time.”

Cohen has been the epicenter of the Manhattan District Attorney’s office’s investigation into the Trump Organization — so much so that the probe has been named after him, with court documents recently revealing that prosecutors internally refer to the case as “The Fixer.”

Cohen’s insider perspective and knowledge of Donald Trump and his “mob-like” inner workings, especially with regard to the infamous Stormy Daniels “hush money” payments, is what served as the cornerstone of the DA’s probe. It’s pretty safe to say that, without him, the investigation is nothing.

While there’s been no indication of charges or an indictment from the Manhattan DA’s office thus far, this newly increased pressure from their star witness certainly has the potential to light a proverbial fire under Bragg’s rear end. There’s certainly a chance that this will all just fizzle out when the current grand jury expires. But, I believe there’s an equally possible chance that Donald Trump could be facing charges in just 9 short days.
