Trump Responds To Melania’s Alleged Abortion Stance, And People Don’t Hold Back In Fierce Reactions

It's really shocking how he thinks.

Donald Trump is always changing his tune when it suits him. Recently, his wife, Melania Trump, spoke out in favor of a woman’s right to choose. In a video on social media, Melania said women should have control over their own bodies. “Individual freedom is a fundamental principle that I safeguard,” she said. She questioned what “my body, my choice” really means, showing support for women’s rights.

Trump’s response surprised many people. During an interview, he said he told Melania to “stick with your heart” when writing her upcoming book, which includes her views on abortion. He added, “I’m not going to tell you what to do.” While this seems like he’s supporting her freedom to choose, it goes against everything he and his political party have been pushing for years.

People quickly noticed the double standard. Trump says Melania can make her own choice, but millions of other women can’t. Under Trump’s leadership, the Republican Party has worked hard to take away women’s rights. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, many states controlled by Republicans have passed strict abortion laws. These laws make it almost impossible for women to get safe abortions.

Franklin tweeted, “Oh wow maybe he should have had that viewpoint before celebrating terminating Roe v Wade.” Another user, (((Orchid)))🌻, wrote, “What fool doesn’t know this is just campaign strategy intended to soften the blow of JD Vance’s stance against women’s rights?” These reactions show that the public is not easily fooled by Trump’s words.

Mystery Dem warned, “Be prepared for a different answer tomorrow after the evangelicals release a statement,” highlighting the unpredictability of Trump’s responses. Paul the other one… added, “Trump doesn’t want to tell Melania what to do. He only wants to tell other women what to do,” which captures the hypocrisy many see in his comments.

Jemele Hill, a journalist, called out Trump for this. She tweeted, “Oh, so Melania gets to choose but not millions of other women. Got it.” This shows how unfair Trump’s stance is. While Melania gets the freedom to choose, other women across the country are losing that same right.

Attorney Bradley Moss also criticized Trump’s comments. He tweeted, “He has no problem with states telling your daughters what to do with their body, though.” This shows the gap between what Trump says and what he actually supports. He lets his wife choose, but his party is trying to take that choice away from all other women.

Trump’s words about Melania don’t match his actions as the leader of the Republican Party. The party has been working to pass strict abortion laws, and they want a national ban on abortion. These laws don’t just affect abortion but also limit access to other important health care for women.

Is this really the first time Trump has changed his mind about abortion? Probably not. During his 2016 campaign, he switched his stance several times. At one point, he even said women who get abortions should be punished. His comments caused outrage. This shows that Trump’s views on important issues often change depending on what benefits him at the time.

A 2023 Pew Research poll shows that 61% of Americans believe abortion should be legal in most cases. But Trump and the Republican Party are ignoring what most people want. They continue to push laws that take away women’s rights.

Trump’s comments about Melania’s right to choose really show his double standard. He’s all about letting her have her freedom while leading a party that takes that same freedom away from millions of women. The fight for women’s rights isn’t over, and we need to keep pushing back against Trump and the Republicans, who seem to think their opinions matter more than women’s choices.
