Georgia Republican House candidate Marjorie Taylor Greene appeared to suggest that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) should be arrested for treason and possibly put to death just because she opposes Donald Trump’s draconian immigration policies.
Greene won her primary contest earlier this month in a result that came as a shock since Green is a QAnon conspiracy theorist and 9/11 truther who thinks Democrats are secretly running an international child sex trafficking ring inside a pizza parlor.
Of course, Trump supports her and even gave her a shout-out on his Twitter feed.
But her campaign should have ended all the way back in February after she released an insane rant on her Facebook account demanding Pelosi’s arrest.

“Nancy Pelosi will be receiving copies of a White House Petition demanding the impeachment of the Speaker of the House of Representatives. The reason? For crimes of treason, which is not only an impeachable offense, but also a crime punishable by death,” Greene wrote in the lengthy diatribe.
“At what point, do we all come together and recognize that some of our elected representatives are not working for America?” she continued. “Yet this is more than an elected leader just being lazy and incompetent. This is one specific elected leader refusing to do her job. Even worse, this is about one leader in need of impeachment, in need of removal, in need of being fired for providing aid and comfort to enemies. I will go further Nancy Pelosi needs to be arrested for treason!”
Frankly, it sounds like she’s talking about Trump, who has spent over a year of his presidency on the golf course and spends most of his time watching television and rage-tweeting. Trump also has not once condemned Russia for putting bounties on the heads of American soldiers.
But Greene droned on about treason and repeatedly noted that treason is punishable by death as she railed against Pelosi.
“Our US Constitution and US Code of Law tells us that treason is a serious crime, even punishable by death,” she wrote. “There are only three crimes that United States elected Representatives of the House or the Senate can be arrested for. Treason, Felony, and Breach of Peace. Given that Nancy Pelosi, upon taking her oath of office, swore to support and defend the US against all enemies, why has she engaged in passing laws that provide Sanctuary to illegals, continue to oppose funding to a border wall to protect our national security, and obstruct any negotiations to fund the border wall.”
It’s not treason to oppose a border wall and the other draconian anti-immigration policies Trump has been demanding. It’s also not illegal to grant sanctuary to migrants. After all, Reagan granted amnesty to millions of migrants during his presidency in the 1980s.
“Nancy Pelosi is a criminal, guilty of treason by refusing to lead her political party to fund the wall and border security measures that would protect our national security,” Greene ranted. “Nancy Pelosi is a criminal guilty of treason by being a key member of a tyrannical government that has enslaved the American people into $21 trillion dollars in debt, which China owns most of our debt. Nancy Pelosi is a traitor to the American people who pay her paycheck and expenses for her service, security, staff, and travel, while she takes our hard earned tax dollars to send billions of our hard earned tax dollars to foreign governments, yet refuses to fund our border wall of $5.7 billion for our national security.”
Actually, a border wall won’t work to prevent undocumented immigrants from crossing into the United States. That’s been proven time and time again. It certainly won’t stop drugs from being smuggled here. The majority of drugs are smuggled right through ports of entry. Pelosi and the Democrats have passed funding to beef up security at the ports of entry to detect drugs being smuggled in, as well as funding to improve technology to detect migrants.
“Nancy Pelosi is guilty of Treason,” Greene concluded. “Nancy Pelosi must be impeached, removed from office, for committing Treason.”
And put to death if Greene has her way. It’s no wonder why Trump likes her so much.
