Multiple reports that have been coming in over the course of the past several weeks have indicated that the American people are not the only ones that have a pretty big issue with the way Donald Trump has handled his response to the coronavirus outbreak in this country. Evidently, more than a few of his close insiders have been less than impressed with this three-ring circus of his, as well.
However, it seems as though no one inside the administration is actually willing to do or say anything about it. And thanks to a report from the Wall Street Journal, we may know why.
The report from the Journal, at first glance, details the extent to which Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar went to tell Trump that the impending coronavirus outbreak was nothing to be concerned about, it was all under control, as early as January 29.
The report goes on to note that Azar waited literal weeks to brief Trump on the impending catastrophe and “oversold his agency’s progress in the early days and didn’t coordinate effectively across the health-care divisions under his purview.”

But as it turns out, there is more to that report than what is seen right on the surface.
If you dig a little deeper, the report outlines an incident that apparently took place on February 25, in which CDC official Nancy Messonnier told the Journal that they were expecting the virus to spread quickly inside the United States.
Once Nancy’s revelation was reported to the public, the stock market instantly dropped.
As a result of the massive drop in Trump’s beloved stock market on the heels of Messonnier words, and in spite of Azar’s attempts to quell the panic with investors, a reportedly “furious” Trump called up Azar with threats to fire Nancy Messonnier.
“The next day, the president announced he was putting Vice President Pence in charge of the federal response—news Mr. Azar learned a few hours before the announcement,” the WSJ report reads.
It seems as though Trump is literally looking to can everyone that crosses his path.
