GOP lobbyist and frequent Trump ass-kisser Matt Schlapp is the subject of epic humiliation after he tried to defend President Donald Trump’s tweet congratulating the “great state of Kansas” after the Kansas City Chiefs won the Superbowl.
Trump corrected the tweet later to reflect that Missouri is the home of the Chiefs, but not before America mocked his latest geography fail into oblivion, not to mention his $3.4 million taxpayer funded Superbowl party at Mar-a-Lago.

But rather than admit Trump was wrong, Schlapp further demonstrated his toady status by offering a pathetic defense to somehow prove that Trump was actually right.
Dear East coast establishment: Kansas City, Kansas is in Kansas.
— Matt Schlapp (@mschlapp) February 3, 2020
Seriously.
Yes, there is a Kansas City, Kansas. But the Chiefs reside in Kansas City, Missouri.
This desperate attempt to appease Trump did not go over very well, with Twitter users first slamming Schlapp’s jab at the so-called “East coast establishment.”
did you tweet this from the offices of your lobbying firm, your $3 million DC-area home, or your weekend place in the Shenandoah Valley?
— Lachlan Markay (@lachlan) February 3, 2020
Shhhh, he’s anti-Establishmenting
— Tom Nichols (@RadioFreeTom) February 3, 2020
The irony of an East Coast Establishment figure like yourself appearing to tell Missourians that the Kansas City Chiefs are in Kansas is just too much.

One Twitter user literally replied by posting the address of Arrowhead Stadium.
Arrowhead Stadium address:
1 Arrowhead Dr, Kansas City, MO 64129MO = Missouri for the slow starters

Others also schooled Schlapp, including a former resident of Kansas City, Kansas.
Dear Washington establishment:
I used to call Kansas City, Kansas, home. The Chiefs never have.

This is what they want to defend? Just say he was wrong! Wtf! The team is based in Missouri! There is no debate.
— yeetwood black (@railbourbon) February 3, 2020
The comments then became more creative as Twitter users pointed out that just because a city shares the same name as another it doesn’t mean they share the same monuments, teams, etc…
I was really mad when I learned the Parthenon is not in Athens, GA.

Went all the way to Paris, Texas and there was no Eiffel Tower!

Still, Schlapp couldn’t escape being called out for kissing Trump’s a**.
Are your lips surgically attached to Trump’s ass or is it more of a Velcro thing?
— Dave Zirin (@EdgeofSports) February 3, 2020
Matt, please stop. It’s embarrassing.
— Casey Hines (@caseyhines) February 3, 2020
Maybe next time he’ll think twice before needlessly trying to defend Trump for being clearly wrong.
