Trump’s Weekend Just Went Sour As Deposition Dates Were Reportedly Officially Set For The Ex-President And Two Of His Kids In Civil Fraud Lawsuit Involving The Family’s Alleged Promotion Of A Pyramid Scheme

Just keeps getting worse, doesn't it, Donnie?!

It appears these days that former President Donald Trump and his spawns can’t seem to fight off one deposition in one lawsuit lodged against them before they’re spinning around because they’ve been slapped with another.

We just recently reported that Trump and his two eldest children, Don Jr. and Ivanka, have filed a pretty desperate appeal in an effort to avoid their court-ordered depositions in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ case against the family business, the Trump Organization. It seems they’re only willing to even consider giving their testimonies if they’re given “transactional (or blanket, in other terms) immunity.”

But before the dust has even had a chance to settle around that pathetic appeal, it seems the Trumps are already facing down yet another deposition fish they’re gonna have to fry.

According to a new report from Law & Crime, deposition dates have now officially been set for ex-President Donald Trump as well as his two eldest sons, Don Jr. and Eric Trump, in a civil fraud lawsuit that’s been lodged against them, claiming that the family and their company was involved in promoting a pyramid scheme.

Managing Editor for Law & Crime, Adam Klasfeld, reported on Twitter, “In a jointly filed status update, attorneys for both of the parties revealed that the former president will sit for deposition this summer on June 16. His adult sons will take the hot seat a little more than a month earlier, with Eric Trump slated to testify on May 12, 2022 and Donald Trump, Jr. on May 10, 2022. ‘Defendants have not yet offered a deposition date for Ivanka Trump. The parties are meeting and conferring concerning the locations and logistics of these depositions.'”

These particular depositions are in connection to a class-action lawsuit against the Trumps that accuses the family of promoting a pyramid scheme called the American Communications Network, “conn[ing] each of these victims into giving up hundreds or thousands of dollars.”

Pyramid schemes are an illegal scam that’s based on lower-level members recruiting new members to their teams and charging them money that funnels up the “pyramid” to line the pockets of the scheme’s founders. Ultimately, the scam produces little to no income or anything of tangible value for anyone below the top of the pyramid.
