TX Attorney General Sickeningly Asserts That Uvalde Tragedy Was God’s Plan In Disturbing Newly Released Audio

Tell that to the parents...

The lives of 19 innocent children and 2 beloved teachers were taken far too soon when 18-year-old high school dropout turned gunman, Salvador Ramos, entered Robb Elementary School through an unlocked exterior door, barricaded himself inside a 4th-grade classroom, and opened fire — where he remained for more than an hour as officers reportedly stood in the hall outside the room until an elite Border Patrol tactical unit finally breached the elementary school classroom and shot and killed Ramos.

But according to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, we can all rest assured that this brutal, senseless, preventable massacre was simply all part of the good Lord’s plan.

In newly released audio of an interview between Paxton and radio host and pastor Trey Graham, the TX AG said, “Life is short” in response to the radio show host asking what Paxton would say to “give a little comfort” to the parents of the Robb Elementary School students who were gunned down in their classroom with an AR-15 assault weapon.

Paxton said he would be “devastated” if he lost a child, “especially in a way that is so senseless and seemingly has no purpose,” but went on to add “I would just have to say, if I had the opportunity to talk to the people I’d have to say, ‘look, there’s always a plan.'”

“I believe God always has a plan. Life is short no matter what it is,” the TX attorney general went on to add. “And certainly, we’re not going to make sense of, you know, a young child being shot and killed way before their life expectancy.”

Audio of the interview was released on Twitter by Sawyer Hackett, a senior advisor to former HUD Secretary Julian Castro and former mayor of San Antonio:

Paxton is seemingly, unsurprisingly so, in opposition to President Biden’s very modest gun safety bill that’s currently on its way through Congress, even in the wake of the Uvalde mass murder. While the bill is currently seeing support from even Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Paxton delivered a nasty statement, in which he vowed to “fight” the Biden administration on any and all gun safety bills they hope to pass.

Newsmax reports Paxton told right-wing radio host Chris Salcedo this week, “Whatever law [the Democrats] are trying to pass, if it violates the Second Amendment, we’re going to fight them.”

“I don’t care who it is,” Paxton said, “they have no right to take guns away from law-abiding U.S. citizens, or restrict their use. This is exactly what the Founding Fathers tried to prevent [with the Constitution]. They were trying to prevent the government from having an advantage by having weapons the citizens didn’t have.”

“The citizens were guaranteed that right, and we’re going to fight for it.”

Paxton’s Founding Fathers’ claim is complete garbage.
