Rep. Devin Nunes looked very uncomfortable during the public impeachment inquiry proceedings on Thursday as a Democratic Congressman read into the record a bombshell report about Nunes’ ties with indicted Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif) asked Fiona Hill, the former National Security Council senior director for Europe and Russia, whether she had read the story from the Daily Beast.
Parnas helped arrange meetings and calls in Europe for Devin Nunes in 2018. Nunes and his colleagues have helped to push conspiracy theories, so Swalwell brought up Nunes’ ties to Parnas, then he proceeded to read parts of the article.

Nunes has the worst poker face in the world. The look on Nunes’ face is priceless and shows us that even he knows his “president” is in deep shit. And Nunes knows that he’s fucked, too. The Daily Beast report notes that Nunes traveled to Europe from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3 in 2018. Three of his aides — Derek Harvey, Scott Glabe, and George Pappas — joined him on the trip. U.S. government funds (that’s us, the taxpayers) paid for the group’s four-day trip that cost just over $63,000.
The timing of the trip is interesting since it occurred as Nunes was working to investigate the origins of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian election meddling. Nunes thinks his job is to defend his corrupt “president” but it was only a matter of time before he, too, was caught red-handed in a dubious act. Everyone tied to this “administration” seems to be linked to nefarious individuals.
Parnas and his associate, Igor Fruman (also indicted), worked with Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani as he attempted to dig up dirt on Joe and Hunter Biden from Ukrainian sources.
This is like a badly scripted soap opera that accidentally cast mafia members instead of actors. And the thing is, they appear to be working for the worst crime boss ever: Donald J. Trump.
