On Monday night, President Donald Trump attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden in New York, becoming the first sitting U.S. president to attend an NBA Finals game. And Trump was booed loudly by the New York crowd when he was shown on the scoreboard during the National Anthem before the game.

How did the White House’s political operation deal with something as embarrassing as the president being booed? They posted it.

The “Rapid Response 47” X account posted a video of the booing, with the caption “Our President.”

“The White House has not yet commented on footage showing Trump appearing to fall asleep during the game, but has previously been sensitive about that subject—both online and in response to reporters’ questions,” the Daily Beast reported about the booing. Also, Trump appeared to fall asleep at one point during the game.

Trump has said that he might also attend Game 4 of the series on Wednesday night.

Trump sat in a suite next to Knicks owner James Dolan and was featured on the television broadcast far less often than many other famous people in attendance, such as Larry David, Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan, and Tina Fey. It was the Knicks’ first NBA Finals home game since 1999, in which they also played San Antonio.
