Donald Trump’s joint press conference with the president of Italy today was a complete and total clusterfuck in just about every way imaginable — as are all of the rest of his public appearances. But I digress.
He effectively made a complete ass out of himself by launching an attack against the Kurds — who he literally abandoned and left to die at the hands of the Turks in a brutal, disgusting blood bath after a split-second decision to pull US troops from the Syria/Turkey border — claiming that the Kurds are now somehow safer as a result of his actions and stating that the former allies to the US are “no angels” themselves.
He then switched gears into a manic rant about Obama and the Italian government committing some sort of grand conspiracy against him in the 2016 election, despite the fact that his ass is literally president right now and he was actually standing right next to the Italian president, before then swapping over to an attack against Senator Lindsey Graham for daring to criticize him for his decisions regarding Syria.
It was seriously a big ol’ mess.
But if you were, for some reason, thinking that things couldn’t possibly get any worse than that in the course of one press conference, well, you’ve not spent much time watching Donald J. Trump.

It can always get worse.
After coming completely unhinged, Donnie just couldn’t wrap the day up without thoroughly displaying the crumbling state of his mental health by slurring his words, attacking Indigenous People’s Day, and claiming that the US somehow had a relationship with Italy before we were even the US.
“The United States and Italy are bound together by a shared cultural and political heritage dating back thousands of years to ancient Rome,” Trump stated during the presser. Over the centuries, the Italian people have blessed our civilization with magnificent works of art, science, philosophy, architecture, and music. On Monday, we paid tribute to the Italian explorer who led a voyage of discovery to the new world, a gentleman known as Christopher Columbus. To me, it will always be called Columbus Day. Some people don’t like that. I do.”

As expected, Twitter users went hog wild with Donnie’s nonsense:
Translation: “Some people don’t like to celebrate genocide…. I do.”

Our 243 year old country dates back thousands of years to ancient Rome. – man of infinite wisdom

Press conference? All I heard was a babbling word salad interspersed with Russian talking points.

He says that because our indigenous people, like other non-white people, do not even count to him as real people. He is a classist, a racist, a misogynist, and a criminal.

Why doesn’t he call it one of the greatest days in white revisionist history?

“Some people don’t like that, but that’s what I call it”.
Negating the generations of natives, our contributions, stewardship of our natural resources, culture. This hurt my heart.— Maggie Mae/may not (@MaggieHalowell) October 16, 2019
Of course he does. Idiotic rapists have to stick together after all.

I honestly can’t even decide what part of that clusterfuck is the worst.
