Did President Donald Trump show more indications of physical decline at this week’s NATO summit in Turkey? There are indications of that, according to a new report by the Irish Star.
“Fresh questions have emerged regarding Donald Trump’s health after he apparently needed assistance walking upon landing in Turkey on Air Force One,” the report said. “Of course, the President is hardly youthful at 80, but his bearing on the opening day of the NATO summit in Ankara has generated buzz.”
As noted by the publication, social media users noticed various errors by the president.
Trump needed Erdogan to help him walk, repeatedly mispronounced his name, couldn’t understand simple questions, rambled incoherently, and fell asleep — again — during the NATO meeting.

After exiting the car, Trump showed symptoms of FTD. He stopped and stared blankly off to the left. Erdogan had to guide him forward. Trump couldn’t walk straight and kept bumping into Erdogan. Then he became distracted by the translator. Erdogan had to, again, push him forward.

Trump can’t even competently walk down a carpet to a microphone.
Erdogan had to physically lead him by the arm, including redirecting him after he randomly turned left & stopped 15 feet from the mic. https://t.co/PT1xrdL3fa

And that’s to say nothing for the moment when Trump stated that the “Islamic Republic of Japan” was attacking the United States, and confused the names of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin, his sworn enemy.
“You have a question for President Putin, please?,” Trump said to the press as Zelenskyy looked on. It was the sort of mistake that Joe Biden was often pilloried during his presidency, including one moment when he introduced Zelenskyy as “President Putin.”

“These kinds of mistakes are becoming all too common with Trump. By now, it’s obvious to anyone who regularly watches the president that he’s experiencing some kind of cognitive decline,” the New Republic noted. “Zelenskiy brushed it off because he’s seen it before and can’t afford to even mildly antagonize Trump, as he needs the president’s support for U.S. military aid. For the rest of us, though, it raises the question of whether Trump has the mental acuity to be president, and how long the octogenarian can keep going on like this.”
