This is a new low even for the Trump administration.

As the novel, potentially fatal coronavirus continues to gain traction all across the United States and around the world while Donald Trump essentially sits around twiddling his thumbs hoping the stock market doesn’t plummet again, there is one group of human beings that the US president is even less concerned about than the rest of us, according to a new report — the same group of human beings he’s been itching to build a wall around since his 2016 campaign days.

According to the bombshell report, the Executive Office for Immigration Review, an entity that falls under the umbrella of the Department of Justice, recently sent out an email to all immigration court staff across the country demanding that they remove any and all posters regarding the Coronavirus from immigration courts.

The posters in question were printed in both English and Spanish and featured instructions regarding how to prevent contracting or transmitting COVID-19.

In the mass email sent to immigration court administrators across the country the United States acting chief immigration judge,  Christopher A. Santoro wrote, “This is just a reminder that immigration judges do not have the authority to post, or ask you to post, signage for their individual courtrooms or the waiting areas.”

“Per our leadership, the CDC flyer is not authorized for posting in the immigration courts. If you see one (attached), please remove it. Thank you,” the email continued.

The ban on COVID-19 posters comes on the heels of the National Association of Immigration Judges — the union that represents U.S. immigration judges — suggesting that the CDC posters be displayed in public areas of the courts in an effort to help get and keep the virus under control.

“Frankly it is as baffling to us why EOIR is failing to take any concrete steps, consistent with the CDC and the [U.S. Office of Personnel Management], to safeguard the health of its employees and the public,” Union President A. Ashley Tabaddor recently explained to the Miami Herald. “It appears that it is taking an ostrich approach of sticking one’s head in the sand and hoping it would all go away.”

Look, there is absolutely no legitimate reason why those posters shouldn’t be allowed in common areas of the courts. They’re not hurting anyone or anything and could only serve to help slow the spread of the virus that’s literally killing people.

This boils down to nothing more than the fact that Donald Trump doesn’t care if it kills brown people. At this point, it seems as though he wants them to get sick.

Frankly, maybe they should’ve moved those posters to CPAC. Evidently a room full of rich, old, white dudes didn’t have the common sense to not spread it everywhere without them.

After a plethora of public outcry and attention in the media, the DOJ has made moves to rectify the situation:
