Don Jr. Tries To Intimidate Government Contractor After Employee Apparently Leaks Conversation With JD Vance

Donald Trump often rants on social media and right now he and other members of the Trump campaign are spitting fire, threatening to shutter federal contracts with Deloitte, a major government consulting firm if dear old Dad Donald Trump winds up in the White House again. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how odious that is.

Apparently, a Deloitte employee leaked Twitter direct messages from J.D. Vance voicing opposition to Donald Trump in 2020 and saying he believed Joe Biden would win.

This turned Junior all snorty and farty

“An executive at @Deloitte named Kevin Gallagher decided to interfere in the election & leak private convos with JD Vance to help Kamala Harris,” he fumed in a post on X. “Deloitte also gets $2B in govt contracts. Maybe it’s time for the GOP to end Deloitte’s taxpayer funded gravy train?”

Junior’s post showed images of Deloitte’s contracts and he tagged House Speaker Mike Johnson, which caused Senior Trump adviser Jason to respond with “Kevin Gallagher FAFO!” which is the popular internet acronym for f*ck around and find out,” an obvious threat from Trump’s team to the mega-corporation, according to MTN.

The right-wing site Breitbart (jeez I forgot that rag was still around) popped out a story about the leak, naming Gallagher and his position at Deloitte. Don Jr., who doesn’t know a rag when he sees one shared the article in a post that said, “We’re not forgetting this.”

Ethics experts expressed alarm at Junior’s response, questioning if this is a warning of dire consequences if Trump is reelected.

“I’ve never seen anything like this,” Kedric Payne, said senior director of ethics at the non-partisan Campaign Legal Center in an interview with The Washington Post. “You can’t imagine that if one employee out of thousands made a statement that offended an official, that then the government contracts would be in jeopardy.”

Gallagher, who has been identified as an “acquaintance” of Vance’s, leaked the Twitter DM’s he received from Vance to the Post on conditions of anonymity. In the messages, Vance tells him that Trump “thoroughly failed to deliver” on the economic promises he made. Vance also predicted Joe Biden would win in 2020.

The Post’s editorial board decided to reveal Gallagher’s identity because of a stipulation in their agreement that Gallagher would allow his identity to be released should Trump or his surrogates decided to retaliate.

“This individual shared private personal messages on his own volition without the knowledge of Deloitte, which is a non-partisan firm,” Deloitte said in a statement. “Deloitte is deeply committed to supporting our government and commercial clients and we have a long track record of doing so across parties and administrations.”

It seems that the company does (almost) maintain the bipartisan status quo, donating equally to Republican and Democratic candidates, with $1.3 million to Republicans and $1.2 million to Democrats during this election cycle, the company reported.

This is how far politics has deteriorated in the U.S. We’re all the victims of an unscrupulous man with no morals who is the head of a family of grifters.

Tragic.
