Dr. Birx Just Lost All Credibility, Echoed Trump’s Attacks On WHO And Backed Up POTUS’ False Claims On National Television

This is horrifying.

Donald Trump’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States has been nothing short of absolutely horrifying. He wasted an enormous amount of time before he actually began to respond at all, and even then, it’s been nothing but a succession of the barest of minimums he can get away with — and Lord knows he’s rushing to get this thing wrapped up and out the door most expeditiously, lest the last hopes of the economy boosting his reelection chances go swirling down the toilet.

Throughout this entire time, Trump has made it strikingly clear that his loyalty nor his concerns like with the health and safety of the American people, but rather his own agenda.

But over the course of the past several weeks, I’ve noticed something perhaps more gut-wrenchingly terrifying than even Trump himself — the blind loyalty he gets from those around him.

The thing of it is, we’ve always known who Donald Trump is as a person. But when someone who’s supposed to be a professional without a political agenda hops on the proverbial Trump Train, it’s horrifying — especially when we’re in the thick of a global pandemic that’s killing people by the thousands.

That’s why Dr. Deborah Birx’s interview on ABC makes my skin crawl more than Donald Trump ever has.

During the segment, the ABC host questioned Dr. Birx, a physician and diplomat who specializes in HIV/AIDS immunology, vaccine research, and global health and serves as the Coronavirus Response Coordinator on Trump’s Coronavirus Task Force, about Donald’s incessant attacks against the World Health Organization and his subsequent decision to pull their funding.

And lo and behold, the doctor did nothing more but echo Trump’s garbage — false garbage.

Birx declared in the segment that “it wasn’t until the beginning of March that we could all fully see how contagious this virus was.”

Excuse my crudeness here but I’m at a loss for how else to describe it — that’s complete and utter bullshit.

In fact, the CDC has been warning since FEBRUARY that the virus outbreak was on track to cause “severe” disruption to daily life in American.

The fact of the matter is, it doesn’t much matter who says it or how many times it’s said, it doesn’t and never will change what’s true.

It’s just brutally terrifying that these people are willing to bend to Trump’s every whim and blatantly continue to misinform the American public at every turn, for no other reason than he told them to.
