Comedian and former Celebrity Apprentice staffer, Noel Casler, has accused now-former President Donald Trump of many things, including recreational drug use and inappropriate behavior toward young women while filming Miss Teen Universe. Casler has also dished out a lot of dirt on Trump’s adult family members, too. Casler tweeted out his latest ‘car rant’ and blasted Republican Governors Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott. In fact, the nearly 3-minute video clip is worth watching as it captures the state of the present-day Republican Party.

Both of the Republican governors have tried to blame immigrants for the COVID-19 surge in their states. That was rated false by fact-checkers.  Abbott and DeSantis have stuck to that false claim, of course. The party of personal responsibility, you guys. And it’s kind of disgusting that they’re blaming immigrants for their own failure to lead amid the raging pandemic. Casler said they’re doing that because it “fits their narrative” and “it’s why they’re ignoring COVID.”

“Governor DeSantis is not a governor,” Casler said. “He’s a candidate. He’s been running for president since last year.” Casler also suggested that DeSantis is taking his cues from Trump. The homophobia and misogyny in the GOP feeds their base. Casler also  noted that many Republican governors are leading states that “fall behind in education.”

Casler pointed to Ronald Reagan and Lee Atwater and how the Republican party got to where it is now. As for the Florida Governor, Casler says, “DeSantis isn’t losing any sleep over a bunch of rubes dying in the panhandle for COVID.” He “wants to be in the White House,” he continued.

Casler’s entire explanation of the present-day Republican Party is worth watching:

“Governor Abbott is a cretin,” Casler said. Then he hit a bullseye in describing everything that’s wrong with the GOP. “That’s Republicanism. I’m gonna get mine, then I’m gonna pull up the ladder, and I’m going to teach people that don’t have it to hate the other people,” Casler added.

He’s not wrong.
