It Seems Trump Finally Hit Rock Bottom, Publicly Discussed His Side Gig As A Mar-A-Lago DJ, Said He Loves To Play “Y.M.C.A.” And Broadway Tunes: “People Love It When I Do It”

This is rock bottom, folks.

Listen, it was bad enough when we originally found out that disgraced former President Donald Trump was lending his DJ’ing services to his Mar-a-Lago dinner guests at his Florida resort/post-White House home. Frankly, we figured that was about as rock bottom as it could get.

But wouldn’t you know, it got worse.

Not only is Trump playing the role of disk jockey at his Mar-a-Lago resort that apparently moonlights as a rich folk’s retirement home — he’s openly bragging about it now.

In a recent interview with YouTubers the NELK Boys for their “Full Send Podcast,” the one-term, twice-impeached former guy proudly boasted of his new DJ side gig for the guests at his Florida resort and even went so far as to reveal his favorite tunes for getting all those geriatric behinds out on the dance floor.

I’ll give you three guesses as to his favorite jam, but if you’ve ever had the displeasure of watching a Trump rally, you’ll only need one.

“I’ve always had a high aptitude for music,” the former president said in the interview. “But I love great music.”

When the hosts asked Trump what music he plays for his resort guests, the ex-president responded, “I pick the ones I like.” Donald went on to say that he’s a big fan of Broadway tunes, such as “Phantom of the Opera” and “Les Misérables.”

But at the end of the day, his top choice is — you guessed it — The Village People’s 1978 hit “Y.M.C.A.”

“You know what gets ’em rocking? ‘Y.M.C.A.,'” Trump said enthusiastically before throwing in some thinly-veiled homophobia. “‘Y.M.C.A.,'” the gay national anthem. Did you ever hear that? They call it the gay national anthem. But ‘Y.M.C.A.’ gets people up, and it gets ’em moving.”

“People love it when I do it,” Trump proudly declared.

As noted above, Trump’s declaration serves as a confirmation of a recent tweet from the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman, where she posted a note that she said was sent to Mar-a-Lago guests that read, “great music will be played during dinner of Friday and Saturday evenings, with President Trump playing the role of disc jockey.”

Of course, Donald’s love of the 1970s Village People hit is nothing new — he ran the song half to death at every single one of his MAGA rallies and even ignited a wildfire of gifs and memes featuring his dance moves to the “gay anthem.”

Why he’s proud of this, I don’t know if I’ll ever really understand. But I guess when your entire life is a dumpster fire, you gotta take the small wins where you can get them.
