Kai Trump Upstages Uncle Barron With New Launch That Has Everyone Talking

A rivalry with receipts

There’s a new rivalry brewing inside the Trump family, although it is not the one most people would expect. In this case, the competition is between an uncle and his niece, and the scoreboard happens to be sitting in the energy drink aisle.

Kai Trump, 19, plays golf for the University of Miami and has worked with Accelerator Active Energy as an NIL partner since 2025. Earlier this month, that relationship grew into something bigger. The company gave her an equity stake and launched her own signature flavor, Blue Raz Slush.

Kai unveiled the drink on Instagram with the caption: “My signature @drinkaccelerator flavor BLUE RAZ SLUSH is officially here. Taking inspiration from my favorite blue raspberry slushie I loved as a kid… now cleaner, zero sugar, and packed with energy.”

It launched on June 2, priced at $24.99 for a 12-pack on Amazon. Demand moved quickly enough that the product sold out almost immediately, drawing coverage on its own.

Barron Trump chose a different path.

Back in January, SEC filings revealed that he had become one of five founding directors of Sollos Yerba Mate Inc. The company raised $1 million through a private placement and describes itself as a lifestyle beverage brand centered on yerba mate and functional ingredients.

Its first flavor, pineapple-coconut, arrived in May. Each can contains 120mg of natural caffeine along with raw honey and cane sugar. A 12-pack sells for $39.99, putting the cost at roughly $3.25 per can.

The company has made it clear that variety is not part of the strategy. A representative told Newsweek: “We didn’t set out to make a flavor lineup; we set out to make the perfect drink.”

Unfortunately for Barron, the numbers created a comparison that stuck.

One product costs $24.99 and sold out. The other costs $39.99 and remains available. That is not the sort of side-by-side comparison most marketing teams dream about seeing in print.

Questions about connections and opportunity were never far behind. While both launches attracted accusations of privilege, Kai’s partnership with Accelerator began long before the equity stake was added to the relationship.

Accelerator’s roster includes names such as Travis Kelce, Livvy Dunne, and Paula Badosa, putting Kai’s product alongside some well-known athletes and influencers. Sollos has not quite reached that level of recognition yet.
