MTG Reveals Trump’s Alleged Plan For 2028 Election And It’s Alarming

The election anxiety is getting real

Not long ago, Marjorie Taylor Greene was standing outside a Manhattan courthouse holding a Trump sign. On Thursday, she appeared on The Alex Jones Show and warned that the man she was holding that sign for might try to cancel the 2028 election.

Greene pointed to a moment from last year when Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and learned that Ukraine had suspended its elections during wartime. “President Trump turned to him and said, ‘wait a minute. You mean that if there’s a war going on you can’t have elections?'”

What stuck with Greene was not just the comment itself, but the way Trump said it. “And he said it jokingly but at the same time, knowing President Trump, I looked at that and I said – I know he said it jokingly, but I don’t know if he’s joking.”

And from there, the conversation took another turn.

Jones, who has spent much of this year publicly unraveling his relationship with Trump, gave a short answer. “That’s what psychos do.”

Greene kept going.

“So, that type of behavior is someone planting an idea over and over. And again, he constantly says it so that he can normalize the idea and test the support and test people’s reactions. But saying it over and over and over again normalizes the idea. And I think it’s incredibly dangerous, and no one should ever accept it. Absolutely, absolutely not. There cannot be a third term, no. That’s against our laws. That’s against the Constitution. There is no third term. And if this country is at war, no, our election should not be canceled, absolutely not.”

The comments hit differently because Greene had already floated this concern before.

Back in March, when a conservative podcaster raised the possibility that Trump could cite a national emergency to cancel the midterm elections, Greene fired back on X: “Yeah I could see it. INSANE.”

That post came and went. This one landed differently, partly because the Iran war has dragged well past the four to six week timeline the administration originally floated, and partly because Trump himself keeps handing Greene new material.

Just one day before the interview, Trump told graduates at the Coast Guard Academy that he expected to still be in office when new icebreaker ships currently under construction were completed, telling the crowd: “I’m gonna be here in 2028! Maybe I’ll be here in 2032, too! I don’t know. Maybe I will!”

The feud between the two has become much more visible. In April, Greene called for Trump’s removal through the 25th Amendment after he threatened to escalate the Iran conflict by targeting civilian infrastructure.
