Report Claimed Trump Would Not Walk By Portrait Of Richard Nixon In The White House Because “He Found It Depressing”

Nixon makes him depressed.

Trump has been trying really, really hard to convince us all that he doesn’t care about that nasty little impeachment of his.

Even before the House conducted their final vote, Donald was almost constantly perpetuating the claim that this whole “Witch Hunt” (the second scandal dubbed as such by Trump himself) would do nothing more than help him out in the long run — despite the fact that he sent a rather whiny, desperate letter to House Speaker Pelosi just ahead of the House vote essentially begging her to just please make it stop.

Even after the formal votes came in on Wednesday night and Donald Trump officially became an impeached president, he still continues to claim that he just doesn’t give a damn.

As soon as the final vote was announced, Trump made quite the spectacle out of himself when he reacted, in real-time, to the vote with an air of arrogant indifference at his Battle Creek, Michigan rally that he so conveniently held on the same night, at the same time as the official impeachment vote.

Of course, it certainly didn’t take long for him to double down on his rhetoric on his Twitter account either, posting a plethora of retweets referring to the vote as “the greatest Witch Hunt in American history” and penning more than a few of his own whines about the process.

But whether he wants us all to know it or not, this impeachment debacle is absolutely traumatizing Trump.

Even White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham admitted as much during an interview with Good Morning America the day after Trump’s official impeachment when she was asked whether Donald was bothered by this impeachment leaving a permanent stain on his presidency, to which she replied, “The president has said many times that this isn’t something he necessarily wants on his résumé.”

But none of that is quite as good as this particular little gem dug up by the Washington Post:

“In October, Trump was so dispirited, according to people familiar with the president’s actions, he told visitors he found it depressing to walk by the White House portrait of former President Richard M. Nixon — who resigned in disgrace.”

Donald gives so big a damn, in fact, that he literally gets depressed from walking past Nixon’s portrait.

Suppose it’s because he knows he’s going to end up just like him before this is all said and done?
