The former mayor of New York City and attorney for Donald Trump Rudy Giuliani is currently in the hospital after testing positive for the coronavirus. Those in Trump’s orbit have largely refused to wear protective face masks amid the raging pandemic. So, it was just a few days before Trump announced Giuliani’s results that his maskless personal attorney asked a witness beside him at a Michigan hearing if she would be comfortable removing her mask. The woman, however, was smart enough to keep her mask on.
“I don’t want you to do this if you feel uncomfortable, but would you be comfortable taking your mask off, so we can hear you more clearly?” Giuliani asked his witness, Jessy Jacob. The witness asked the panel if she could be heard. She was told they could hear her; then, she kept her mask on.

Contact tracing for Giuliani will be really difficult to find out who could have exposed since he’s been in various cities attempting to help the president overturn the election after being soundly defeated by President-elect Joe Biden. Videos and photos have resurfaced of Giuliani hanging out with various people, hugging and shaking hands, almost as if a pandemic hasn’t gripped our country. Giuliani has reportedly been feeling sick since at least Friday.
In mid-September, Donald Trump told a reporter to take his mask off. To the reporter’s credit, he declined to do so. Trump has held super-spreader rallies and made wearing a mask political instead of keeping us safe. It’s almost as if this president and his enablers are intentionally trying to spread the potentially deadly disease.
