Stephen Miller Tries To Praise Trump For His ‘Master Strategy’ And Instantly Regrets It

Stephen Miller was consistent on Trump being right, even when he flipped on tariffs.

No one in Donald Trump’s orbit has ever been more of a pure sycophant than Stephen Miller. The longtime speechwriter, who worked in the White House for all four years of Trump’s first term and returned for Trump’s second term as White House Deputy Chief of Staff.  While countless advisers have turned on Trump over the years, Miller has remained loyal and regularly defended Trump on television.

This can sometimes be embarrassing, and not only when Miller loses his cool on television, as he’s been known to often do, on Fox News and other outlets.

Other times, Miller’s sycophancy is so blatant that he can praise Trump to the skies one day and then praise him again for doing the exact opposite the following day. And that happened this week amid the tariff drama.

Miller went on Fox Tuesday to defend Trump’s tariffs, calling them “necessary action to bring back American industrial power and might, so that we will have real hard deterrence in this country, real hard strength in this country.”

Then, after Trump reversed himself on Wednesday, Miller continued to praise “President Trump’s master strategy.”

He praised Trump for what he described as “bold statesmanship and brilliant tactical planning has done more to reform broken international trade in days than anyone has achieved in decades while economically and politically isolating the global architect of economic aggression: China.”

“You have been watching the greatest economic master strategy from an American President in history,” Miller added.

And while Trump, in talking to the press Wednesday, admitted that fears in the bond market were a major factor in his reversal on the majority of the tariffs, Miller implied in his own messaging that the switch was the plan all along.

Miller was mocked widely for this series of events.
