Trump Appears To Throw Fauci Under The Bus During Town Hall, Falsely Claims Fauci Said In February That The Virus Was “Not Going To Be A Big Deal”

Nice try, dummy.

Ever since Trump floated the idea of injecting human people with disinfectants and UV light as a possible treatment for coronavirus, the idea of continuing his daily Coronavirus Task Force briefings from that point forward hasn’t been well-received, even among his own people.

However, given that this pesky pandemic has put a hard damper on his beloved MAGA rallies, Trump had to come up with some way to get his face in front of the people, despite the fact that it makes us physically ill.

So, to replace his press briefings which were supposed to be replacement for his rallies, Trump decided to hold a Fox News town hall today right at the feet of the Lincoln Memorial and instead of taking questions from his least favorite people, the reporters in the White House press pool, he took questions that were submitted by viewers on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

But frankly, the town hall wasn’t any more successful or coherent than the press briefings or the rallies were.

During today’s MAGA fiasco, Trump kicked things off by claiming that he’s been treated worse than President Lincoln himself then turned to throw the beloved (and frankly only hope we have left) Dr. Fauci under the proverbial bus because it’s impossible for Donald Trump to take responsibility for his own, numerous transgressions.

One of the questions submitted this evening was from a viewer who wanted to know why Trump took his sweet time in responding to the deadly virus outbreak when multiple reports are now indicating that he was given intelligence that warned of the impending disaster months before he actually started to respond at all.

But of course, once again, Trump isn’t about to take responsibility for his role in this debacle. So, instead, he bragged on himself and threw someone else to the wolves instead.

He started by claiming that he “saved hundreds of thousands of lives” with his early travel ban that wasn’t actually all that early at all before quickly going on to claim that Dr. Anthony Fauci said “it was gonna pass. It wasn’t gonna be a big deal” — which, as I’m sure you know, is a crock of bull if ever there were one.

But nevertheless, Trump needed someone to blame and it’s really no surprise that it came in the form of Dr. Fauci, who’s been one of the only members of that three-ring circus that has been willing to stand up to Trump’s lies and misinformation.

Was the crisis in Afghanistan surrounding the pull out of American Troops Biden's fault or Trump's fault?
