Donald Trump and his administration haven’t been forthcoming about the president’s health after the 74-year-old was stricken with the coronavirus. Trump and his team have been downright evasive, leaving chunks of vital information left unanswered. And let’s face it, the president has been acting even more erratic than usual — but the bar is pretty low since the former reality show star took office. Either the president is even more ill than he has let on, or he’s roid-raging. The side effects of the steroids Trump is taking isn’t pretty.
Well, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is taking the matter into her hands for our country’s safety — and now the 25th Amendment is at the center of focus. On Tuesday, Pelosi told the press during a briefing to “come here tomorrow… We’re going to be talking about the 25th Amendment.” And as you’re probably aware, that Amendment allows the President to be replaced with the vice president should he be unable to perform his duties for various reasons. And then more details were offered about her proposal.
This is a serious matter, but it’s just another one of Trump’s self-inflicted wounds. So, the president took to Twitter to inadvertently express that we do not have an adult in charge of this country.
