Prosecutors working under Garland-appointed DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith are lighting a new fire under the infamous Justice Department stolen document investigation into scandal-ridden ex-President Donald Trump, as CNN now reports that investigators have set their sights on the handling of surveillance footage within Trump’s Mar-a-Lago compound in Palm Beach, FL, following a subpoena issued against the Trump Organization for the security footage last summer.
CNN cites multiple sources with insider knowledge of the ongoing DOJ document investigation into Donald Trump.
According to the sources who spoke with the publication, Smith and his people have sent out a new round of brutal subpoenas, ignored by the manner in which Trump Organization employees responded to their request for the surveillance footage, and how the footage was handled.
To make matters worse for the already legally perilous former president, CNN confirms that the Trump Organization’s top two security goons are expected to appear before the grand jury in the case and essentially spill the beans on the ex-president’s company security and surveillance secrets.

CNN reports:
Longtime Trump Organization executives Matthew Calamari Sr. and his son Matthew Calamari Jr. are expected to appear Thursday before the grand jury investigating possible mishandling of classified documents brought to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, sources said. Prosecutors are expected to ask them about the handling of the surveillance footage and Trump employees’ conversations following the subpoena, according to the sources.
Calamari Sr., the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Trump Organization, has primarily overseen security operations for Trump and his properties during his decadeslong career working for Trump. His son, Calamari Jr., is director of security for the Trump Organization.”
This bombshell development serves as yet another massive step by Smith and his team to potentially secure some of Donald Trump’s closest insiders as witnesses against him in their investigation.
