United States history was once again made after DOJ-appointed Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team formally indicted scandal-plagued ex-President Donald Trump on multiple charges related to the infamous stolen document scandal. This brutal indictment serves as the former president’s 2nd official indictment in a number of weeks, and his first formal indictment on federal charges stemming from the US Department of Justice.
Smith, on behalf of the Biden DOJ, has been investigating the former president for his role in inciting the January 6th Capitol insurrection, his attempt to overthrow the 2020 presidential election after his loss to Joe Biden, and the infamous stolen Mar-a-Lago document scandal, in which Donald Trump stole classified government documents at the end of his presidency, relocated the material to his Palm Beach compound, where he hid them, lied about his possession of the materials, and repeatedly refused to comply with government requests and subpoenas for their return.
That bombshell development finally came to a head this week, when Trump was formally arraigned on the staggering 37 felony criminal charges in a Miami courthouse.
Instead of keeping his head down following his court appearance, like a normal person would likely do, Trump was sure to make a full and complete scene out of his time in Miami, choosing to make a pit stop at the popular Versailles Café in Miami’s Little Havana, directly following his formal arraignment on charges related to conspiracy and the Espionage Act.

According to reporting from Miami New Times’ Laine Doss, the scandal-plagued former president made quite the show out of promising “food for everyone” to the band of supporters that had gathered at the cafe for his highly-publicized appearance. However, it seems everyone walked away hungry, as the big guy never followed through on his promise, and no one got a crumb.
As he made his way into the cafe, Trump was serenaded with a round of “Happy Birthday” from his adoring fans as he made his Miami court appearance just a day before his birthday.
Doss reports:
The local press was on hand to capture footage of the large crowd milling outside to greet their man. Inside the bakery, Trump supporters fawned over their man, regaling the soon-to-turn-77-year-old with a rousing rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ a day early and holding a group prayer. A glad-handing Trump was heard to declare, ‘Food for everyone!'”
But Doss goes on to reveal that the whole appearance barely lasted 10 minutes, and not a single soul got a bite to eat on the ex-president’s dime:
It turns out no one got anything. Not even a cafecito to-go. A knowledgeable source assures New Times that Donald Trump’s stop at Versailles totaled about ten minutes, leaving no time for anyone to eat anything, much less place an order.”
