In case you hadn’t noticed, Trump and his family have had a really rough couple of weeks here lately. The brutal losses for the disgraced former president and his two eldest spawns have been rolling in virtually non-stop, and with no end in clear sight. Of those bombshell hits against the one-term, twice-impeached former guy and his offspring was the particularly vicious and highly publicized break-up his company, the Trump Organization, was served by their long-time (now former) accounting firm, following very serious information that came to light thanks to New York Attorney General Letitia James’ investigation into their finances.
To make a long story short, the accounting firm Mazars USA recently formally cut ties with the Trump Organization and made it clear that a staggering 10-years worth of their financial statements on Donald Trump, outlining his monetary worth “should no longer be relied upon” — after James’ investigation revealed that the company had been falsely inflating and undervaluing numerous assets in an effort to obtain more favorable loans vs tax breaks.
Of course, as we’ve come to expect from the infamous Donald Trump, this news was quick to ruffle the disgraced ex-president’s tail feathers. Now, it seems he’s throwing all of his efforts into ensuring that the blame for the whole scandal lands at the feet of pretty much anyone but himself.
In a new, unhinged statement over the weekend, Trump made the bold claim that the Mazars USA accounting firm was “broken” by “Radical leftist racist prosecutors.”

As is customary with Trump and his manic statements and assertions like this, he offered up precisely zero evidence to back his claim in any way.
It is also worth noting, as noted by HuffPost, that both the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and state Attorney General Letitia James who are investigating Donald Trump are Black individuals.
In his first statement responding to his Valentine’s Day break-up, which he released on Tuesday of last week, Trump claimed that the accounting firm had been “threatened” and “intimidated” by NY AG James’ office to distance themselves from Donald’s company.
But now he’s taking it a step further still, as he always does.
“My long-term accounting firm didn’t leave me for any other reason than they were harassed, abused, and frightened by DA’s and AG’s that for years have been threatening them with indictment and ruination,” Trump’s newest, fuming statement on the matter reads. “They were ‘broken’ by these Radical Left racist prosecutors, and couldn’t take it anymore.”
“My company is incredible with some of the greatest assets in the world and very low debt. Also, we’re loaded with cash. The Fake News Media hates talking about it!”

Already, Trump’s unhinged public statements on the matter have only served to dig his own hole that much deeper, as Attorney General James was quick to point out in a letter to the judge that’s presiding over her investigation that Trump’s own attorneys had been arguing just days before that the now ex-president has virtually no knowledge regarding the financial standing of his own business, therefore he could not be held responsible for the shady practices Letitia is currently investigating. However, in her letter to the judge, James notes that Trump’s own statement flatly contradicts his lawyers’ arguments.
Clearly, she claimed, Donald Trump knows “exactly what OAG is investigating.”
Trump and his two eldest children were ordered last week to sit for depositions under oath in Attorney General James’ investigation after the family had been less than cooperative with subpoenas issued by her office in December of last year.
