Donald Trump offered us another daily press briefing on the massive coronavirus outbreak that has gripped the world and forced the US economy to shut down. The conspiracy theorist president has not provided any evidence for his bizarre accusations that New York is only requesting a lot of masks because there is some sort of major mask-theft operation going on. Trump has been attacking the hospitals that have been pleading for direly needed medical equipment that is required to fight against the pandemic.
Medical professionals have been begging for the necessary tools, and Trump is accusing them of being thieves while they’ve been putting their lives on the line.
Trump says he was told it is not possible that, without something shady “going on,” a New York hospital can go from needing 10,000 masks to 300,000 masks.

OK, so Donald the mathemetician doesn’t seem to be aware of the trajectory of the disease in the U.S., and that hospitals are overwhelmed.

Then Trump went on to claim that more ventilators will be produced than are needed in the US. However, there is no proof of that yet. Then y’all’s America First president said the U.S. is going to be sending ventilators to Italy, Spain, and France. And with a thoroughly broken economy and the volatile stock market, Trump said he’s already told Italy that we’re now sending $100 million worth of “Things. Surgical and medical and hospital things to Italy.”

Well, our medical professionals need those “things” now in this country with the death toll nearing three thousand. Factory workers for General Electric walked off the job today to force the company to start making ventilators. They are heroes, but Trump is not in that category. Instead of getting health care professionals what they need to keep Americans alive, he’s lashing out at hospitals while promising another country $100 million in equipment.
